It's cooling down and summer is coming to an end, but the fun isint over yet! Starlite Drive In Movie Theater in Mitchell features mini golf, a playground, snack bar, and weekend showing's of movies. Now Through Wednesday August 28th Startlite will be open. Admission is $8 for 12 and older, $5 for ages 62 and older. This year marks the 71st year of the Sioux Empire Fair Tradition! There will be world class entertainment, livestock show, fair pageant, food, rides and great fun for everyone. The fair starts Tuesday August 10th at noon through Sunday August 15th.

Starting at 8:00pm Tuesday August 10th ZZ TOP is playing in the Grandstands. This is one of the few original rock bands with the same personnel intact. $35 general admission and reserved, includes gate admission (a $5 value )

Wednesday August 11th CLAY WALKER is playing in the Grandstands at 8:00pm. This hit country singer is guaranteed to put on a great show! $10 general admission and $15 reserved including gate admission.

New this year: Budweiser Brindlewood Beer Tent is now located in the Grandstand area and will have a different theme every day of the fair! There is so much happening at this tent that you will have to check it out to see it!

DAKOTA ROCK FEST 2010

The Annual festival is not only back featuring 80's legends like Lita Ford, Warrant and Vince Neil, but is now a three-day event! Begnining Thursday July 22nd through Sunday the 25th.

Tickets in advance are $25 for Firday $40 for Saturday and $ 55 for both days. VIP Tickets can be purchased for $175 which covers both days and all you can eat and drink at the VIP tent.
